This successful ambush came after intelligence reports tracked the movements of the bandits, leading the military to strategically position their forces for the encounter.
Reports gathered by JamTide.com reveal that Kachallah Buzu, known for leading violent raids across the region, was neutralized along with a number of his fighters. The operation also resulted in the recovery of 30 motorcycles and a significant cache of arms, crippling the group’s ability to continue their reign of terror in the Northwest.
This marks a critical point in the military’s ongoing campaign to combat banditry and restore peace to the region.
Kachallah Buzu was infamous for his brutal tactics, and his elimination follows a string of similar successes by Nigerian security forces against high-profile bandit leaders in recent months. This operation not only disrupted the bandits’ operations but also sent a strong message to other criminal elements in the area.
